Changes to the RPP program for Remington

Things that may be changed:

Joining or leaving the RPP program

The RNA helps block faces (one side of a block) join or leave the RPP program. A certain percentage of the residents in the block-face has to be in favor of any change.

Changing the times of the program

The entire RPP area has to have the same time constraints. The current restraints are shown on the sign above. It is possible to change the time constraints of the whole area.

The following is a statement from an RPP person on changing the hours of the entire area:

"The process to change the hours is quite lengthy and it is codified by law, there is no quick way to accelerate it….nor should you desire to accelerate it. The change impacts the hours for the entire RPP area, I recommend comprehensive planning as a community before moving to implement. Implementation takes no less than 10 months and currently I have a waiting list of communities who desire to change their RPP hours."
